De EZ Cooldown PCM CoolCollar biedt betaalbare en effectieve verkoeling in elke situatie. De CoolCollar is verkrijgbaar in verschillende maten en in twee temperaturen.
Deze band wordt om de nek/hals gedragen waar veel bloedvaten dicht bij het huidoppervlak lopen. Dit maakt de nek een van de meest effectieve plaatsen om je lichaam te koelen.
De EZ Cooldown Cool Collar zorgt voor aangename verkoeling en helpt oververhitting te voorkomen dankzij de inwendige Phase Change Material pack. Deze PCM pack is in staat om 1 tot 2 uur verkoeling te bieden, zelfs onder zeer warme omstandigheden.
De elastische en verstelbare klittenbandsluiting zorgt voor een comfortabele pasvorm.
Elke EZ Cooldown Collar bevat een biologische PCM pack. PCM heeft de unieke eigenschap dat het snel kan afkoelen en zeer langzaam weer warm wordt. Het kan koelte als het ware 'opslaan' en geleidelijk afgeven. Dit afgeven gebeurt op een aangename temperatuur van 15°C of 21°C, afhankelijk van welke versie Cool Collar je kiest.
LET OP: Omdat de nek en hals veel warmte afgeven, werkt een PCM CoolCollar minder lang dan een PCM koelvest. De CoolCollar werkt het best als aanvulling op een PCM koelvest.
Hoe gebruik je de CoolCollar nekband?
Activeer de nekband door deze minimaal 60 minuten in koelkast of 30 minuten in de diepvriezer te leggen. Zorg ervoor dat de nekband zoveel mogelijk plat ligt en bij voorkeur opengevouwen.
Nadat de nekband is geactiveerd in de koelkast kun je deze direct dragen. Indien de nekband in de diepvries is geactiveerd, wacht dan 5 tot 10 minuten tot de band een aangename temperatuur heeft om te dragen. Met de klittenband-sluiting stel je eenvoudig de gewenste pasvorm in. De band moet goed contact maken met uw nek en hals maar mag niet te strak zitten.

I take medication that makes me susceptible to sudden overheating when I do anything halfway strenuous. I figured the collar would be an easy option to test out at home, and if that went well, then maybe I'd spring for a vest I can use at work.
Well, I will probably wind up doing just that as summer returns. The collar is remarkable. 70 F goes a lot further than you would think in terms of cooling. I think of it as basically a detachable heat sink for my body- it doesn't usually *feel* cool, it simply keeps me at a normal temperature, which is precisely what I wanted from it. Don't be fooled by how the cells feel basically room-temperature to your fingers. They'll do the job, much better than you would ever guess. I think 70 was absolutely the right call for me.
The collar itself is a bit bulky, but what can you expect? (Also, I'm sure larger people than me, which is most of them, would find it less so.) I find the mesh can sometimes be slightly scratchy in places, but usually I can fix that with slight adjustments. Just be advised, this one might be tough for folks with sensory issues.
All in all, it feels a bit magical. And, I mean- what else is there to say?
Next up for me is to get an insulating bag or something and test out how long it will keep inside that thing in my climate. If I can figure out a good convenient way to keep a vest handy while I'm at work without worrying too much about running out of cooling, I'll definitely get one.
